For 2012, the Jeep Wrangler gained the new 3.6 Pentastar V6, got a five-speed automatic, and had minor aerodynamic improvements. In addition, the new Jeep Wrangler Arctic Edition model was created, with 80 Wranglers and 320 Wrangler Unlimiteds going to Canada, and an unspecified number headed to Europe (with the usual VM diesels for Europe).

The package includes a hard badge on both front fenders, a decal on the driver’s side front fender and hood, and black Rubicon tires and wheels, hood decal, fuel door, bumpers, and tail-lamp guards.

Arctic models are available in both two- and four-door form, and are available with either the gasoline-powered, 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 — a new offering for 2012 — or a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel I-4. Like the diesel engine, expect the entire Arctic Edition package to remain unattainable in the U.S. and Canada.
